Founder Self-taught GHL Architect Automation Engineer Fractional CTO

I didn't go to school for this. I sat down, started building, and didn't stop. That obsession produced a working knowledge of CRM infrastructure, marketing automation, full-stack development, AI agents, and security architecture — all without a degree, a bootcamp, or a team to lean on.

The story

Self-taught isn't a limitation. It's a description of someone who doesn't wait for permission to learn.

I started building websites the same way most self-taught developers start — curiosity, frustration, and a refusal to accept "you need to hire someone for that." What started as solving my own problems turned into solving other people's, and somewhere in the middle of that I realized I'd quietly become fluent in a stack most specialists never touch end-to-end.

Web design led to GoHighLevel — and GHL broke open the entire automation rabbit hole. Once I understood how workflows, webhooks, pipelines, and CRM logic actually interconnect, I started seeing every business as a system with friction points. Identifying those friction points and removing them is what I do. The tool is secondary.

"Every business is a system with friction points. I find them and remove them."

I've worked across precision healthcare infrastructure, industrial AR wearables, venture capital platforms, and performance coaching systems — not because I went looking for those industries, but because the work was interesting and the founders were serious. That range is intentional now. It means I bring pattern recognition that industry-specific operators miss.

Right now I'm a full-time operator at Coach G Huddle — a performance coaching platform where I help build and run the systems behind the business. The Web Synq side practice takes a limited number of engagements per month, scoped around the specific problems I'm best at: CRM architecture, automation rescue, web builds, and fractional technical leadership for early-stage companies.

The self-taught angle isn't something I apologize for. It means I've had to understand every layer of every system I've worked in — because there was no senior developer to ask. That pressure produces a breadth that's genuinely rare, and I'd rather be rare than credentialed.

Coach G Huddle is a performance coaching and productivity platform built around helping individuals and teams execute at a higher level. My full-time role here focuses on the systems and infrastructure that keep the business running — CRM architecture, workflow automation, lead management, client onboarding sequences, and the technical layer that allows a coaching operation to scale without breaking. This is my primary professional commitment, and it's the context that makes my Web Synq engagements selective by necessity — not by preference.

Fractional CTO.
Equity on the table.

If you're building something serious and need a technical leader who can hold the architecture, manage the stack, and ship — but you're not at the stage where a full-time CTO makes financial sense — this is the arrangement.

I work as an embedded technical executive: setting engineering direction, making infrastructure decisions, vetting vendors, and keeping the technical side of your business from becoming a liability. Not as a consultant who delivers a slide deck and disappears.

For the right company, I'm open to equity arrangements in lieu of or in addition to cash compensation. I take a small slice and earn it the way any co-founder does — by being fully in on the outcome.

Advisory
Part-time · Low commitment

Monthly strategic input, architecture reviews, vendor vetting, and on-call technical decision support. Ideal for founders who have developers but need senior technical judgment without full overhead.

Part-time · Active builder

Regular weekly involvement — architecture, sprint planning, code review, and hands-on building. I function as an active technical co-founder on a defined time budget. Best for pre-seed through Series A companies actively shipping.

Fractional · Titled CTO role

A named fractional CTO role with board visibility, investor communication, and full ownership of the technical roadmap. Reserved for companies where the role needs institutional weight — fundraising, due diligence, enterprise sales.

Equity arrangements are evaluated on company stage, funding status, market size, technical complexity, and the realistic ask on my time. There's no fixed rate — the right number is the one that aligns incentives correctly for both sides.

I don't take equity in companies I don't believe in. The filter is identical whether we're negotiating $0 in cash or $10K: is there a realistic path to an outcome where this equity is worth something? If yes, we talk. If not, I'll say so directly and save us both the time. Cash + equity hybrid is common. Equity-only is rare but has happened for the right stage and the right team.

Ideal for →

/ Stage

Pre-seed to Series A. Enough traction to need real technical leadership; not yet at the stage where a $250K full-time CTO makes financial sense.

/ Stack

GHL-based businesses, SaaS platforms, automation-heavy products, web apps, or any company where the CRM and the product are deeply intertwined.

/ Team

Visionary or business-side founders who know what they're building but need a technical co-pilot who actually takes ownership of the "how."

/ Timeline

Minimum 6-month commitment preferred. Equity arrangements require at least 12 months for vesting to be worth structuring properly.

§ 04

The self-taught timeline

No degree. No bootcamp. No agency to shadow. Just a progression of problems that demanded new skills, and a habit of figuring them out.

2021
First line of code.
Started with HTML/CSS. Broke everything. Rebuilt it. Discovered that stubborn curiosity is a valid engineering methodology when you refuse to stop. → Replace with your actual origin story.
2022
First paid project. GoHighLevel discovery.
Delivered the first website for real money. Discovered GoHighLevel and spent an unreasonable amount of time learning how automations, pipelines, and CRM logic work under the hood. → Replace with your real first client details.
2023
Web Synq Design founded. Enterprise clients begin.
Formalized the practice as Web Synq Design. Began taking on GHL architecture, automation builds, and web development for organizations in healthcare, VC, and technology. Stack expanded into JavaScript, APIs, and webhooks.
2024
Renoviant · Preciso · Escher · RealWear.
Worked across precision healthcare, industrial AR wearables, and venture capital platforms. Each domain forced a new skill layer — HIPAA constraints, enterprise integrations, governance-grade systems architecture. Built and shipped across all of them.
2025
AI agents. Voice AI. Security architecture.
Added AI agent development, Claude API integrations, and Voice AI workflows to the stack. Began formally incorporating security architecture — webhook validation, zero-trust flows, secrets management — as standard deliverables on every engagement, not afterthoughts.
2026
Coach G Huddle. Fractional CTO open.
Joined Coach G Huddle full-time. Web Synq takes limited engagements. Opened fractional CTO arrangements for equity-aligned early-stage companies. The calendar is the constraint — not the skill set.
